Making the Mouthpiece Mould
1.
Pre-fitting
procedure:
Place one tray
on your upper
teeth to get
accustomed to
the fit.
Practice sucking
the air from the
tray. This will
contour the tray
to the outside
surface of your
teeth. This is
the procedure
you will use
when you
retrieve the
tray from the
boiling water.
Repeat for lower
teeth.
2. Boil a
pot of water and
then submerge
your mouthpiece
into it for 5 to
10 seconds. You
will see the
mouthpiece
begin
to wilt. NOTE
- Keeping the
mouthpiece
submerged too
long will cause
it to shrink and
become useless.
3. Remove
mouthpiece from
water and shake
water off of the
mouthpiece
surface. Place
the mouthpiece
into your mouth
and perform the
sucking
procedure
described in 1.
above. press the
mouthpiece
against the
front of your
teeth with your
fingers and the
back of your
teeth with your
tongue and
thumb. Be
firm with
the mouthpiece
and ensure that
you press it to
the face and
rear of your
teeth, Gently
bite down. Let
it cool and your
mouthpiece is
now perfectly
moulded to your
teeth. After the
tray is fitted
you may cut off
the tab with
small scissors
to facilitate
treatment with
mouth closed.
NOTE - You will
only need to
conduct the
boil-n-bite
procedure once
for each
mouthpiece, not
each time you
conduct your
whitening
session
4.
Squeeze the
Smile-Bright gel
into the front
of your
mouthpiece. You
don't need to
overfill it.
5. Place
mouthpiece over
your teeth for
45 Minutes to 1
hour. Repeat
this process for
both upper and
lower teeth once
per day until
teeth have
reached desired
shade of white.
